Here are a few helpful tips and points to consider when moving into the community:

Unfurnished Apartments

The apartments are unfurnished, allowing each resident to express his or her individuality at our Riverwood assisted living facility. Suggestions for personal items include toiletries, bedding, linens, and bath rugs; additionally, furniture such as a bed, recliner chair, rocker, sofa or loveseat, bookshelf, table and chairs, chest of drawers, wall hangings, television, nightstand, and telephone are suggested.

Unlimited Visiting Hours

Visiting hours are unlimited at our senior living facility in Rome, GA. The front lobby is open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Guests visiting after hours can ring the front doorbell to obtain entrance into the community.

Meal Services

Meals are served in the dining room or can be served in residents’ rooms during brief periods of illness. Guests are always welcome to join us for a delicious meal at Riverwood Senior Living in Rome, GA. Meal tickets can be purchased from the business office. Outside food and drinks are permitted in residents’ apartments. Food should be stored in appropriate containers and should be labeled and dated.

Healthy & Safe Environment

Riverwood Assisted Living is committed to providing a healthy environment for residents, employees, families, and visitors. Smoking is only permitted in designated areas outside of the building. Outings, activities, and special events are always encouraged at our assisted living Rome community. To ensure safety, all residents are asked to sign in and out of the community at the reception desk.

Transportation

Transportation is provided for shopping, sightseeing, activities, and medical appointments. Our Almost Home program residents also receive coordinated transportation to therapy appointments and medical follow-ups. Residents are encouraged to arrange for transportation in advance with the receptionist.

Enrichment Opportunities

Enrichment opportunities are provided for residents every day at our senior living in Rome, GA community. Activity calendars are posted throughout the community and are available to each resident every month. From our signature Cooking Wednesdays to personalized activities, we create meaningful experiences for every resident.

Staff Members

Staff members are not permitted to accept gifts of money, gratuities, or tips. If you wish to donate a gift to Riverwood Retirement Management, please contact the executive director.

Discharge Notice

Discharges require a 30-day notice. Adequate advance notice will facilitate a satisfactory discharge. Rent is considered ongoing until all furniture is removed from an apartment.
