Ms. Jackie Fisher joined Riverwood on December 29, 2023. Originally from Sun City Center, Florida, a senior retirement community south of Tampa, she embarked on her career in St. Louis, teaching second grade in the public school system while her husband completed his studies at the seminary. After raising their four children and pursuing her own education, she served as a school counselor for the Henry School District in South Dakota for three years before returning to Missouri. Ms. Fisher then worked at the Crider Center for Mental Health under a contract with the State Department of Social Services, providing therapy for a new program they wanted to implement. She later transitioned back to the school system as a psychological examiner in the special services department at the Francis Howell School District in St. Charles, Missouri. She finds joy in witnessing her students’ progress and development. Ms. Fisher is blessed with seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In her leisure time, she enjoys indulging in hobbies such as painting, writing, quilting, and traveling.
